Pandering to the left was never going to make them votes, at least not the votes they wanted. The cost was real Tories voting for something, anything else or just staying at home.

Is the capital of England and the empire so it matters. The politics get ugly when that much power and money is involved.

Was really the working man's friend once upon a time - as we say when we are telling fairy stories. Now it is solidly a party of illegal immigrants, dole bludgers and anyone else who will vote for them.
