The South Sea Bubble

The Tulip Mania  was the first big bubble circa 1636. Then England got caught out first by a fast talking Scotchman using the South Sea Bubble around 1720. Then it was the French with the Mississippi Company in 1763. We are currently [ 2011 ] going through the aftermath of a housing bubble which happened in English speaking countries.
